Report #12—May 24, 2015

My last full day in Ivano-Frankivsk was spent with the brethren on the Lord’s Day. Once again we had a maximum capacity in attendance and the meeting room and children’s room were both filled. Today is my birthday and the congregation greeted me with the warmest wishes and several of the children brought me cards they had made. After our worship assembly was concluded we went to enjoy an afternoon of fellowship outdoors.

At worship today I was talking with Larissa, a member who had fled Donetsk because of the war. Larissa has been in Ivano-Frankivsk for several months. She has a daughter and a 6 month old granddaughter. Larissa asked me to be sure and thank all who helped collect and ship because they received lots of help from those shipments as they are IDPs and they received items from the container for herself, her daughter and the granddaughter.

Larissa said, “Please give my brothers and sisters big, big thanks. We had to leave and had nothing. But we arrived here and you and the Lord’s Church had things ready for us. These are things that we desperately needed. THANK YOU!”

The morning will come early as I am to leave for Kyiv on the early flight.

Please continue praying for us!
