Dear brethren,

The June UKRAINE MISSIONS newsletter is now available for you to download and read.

My article this month focuses upon the reality and presence of evil in the world. The Christian is required to respond to evil. Multiple events this summer have highlighted evil’s presence and also highlighted is the fact that evil has not been challenged. Consequently evil has gained power and momentum. Ecclesiastes 8:11 warns today’s unhearing ears, “Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil.”

This month’s reports from your brethren in Ukraine (and India) will encourage you. Our brethren in Ukraine are holding fast to the Word of God and working diligently in the Lord’s service in spite of the evil present in their nation. The successes reported will cheer your hearts and prod you to do likewise in your location.

Here are excerpts from Ivan’s report:

“We thank the Lord and His Church in America for everything we have and all that we have achieved. Without you, dear brethren, we would not have done as much good. Your help makes us stronger and more confident in our ministry to God and people.”

“Our members, especially those that are in need, are very thankful to God for the help and comfort they have found in Church. We cannot begin to imagine where we would be had it not been for your help at these trying time.”

Andrew & Dennis report on the brethren living in Gorlovka and Andrew has sent some photos of the war’s devastation. What is true in Gorlovka is true in all of the areas that are controlled and occupied by Russian supported invaders.

Dennis writes: “Last week I had a chance to visit Gorlovka which is unfortunately under control of the unrecognized so-called Donetsk People Republic (DPR). The facilities that belonged to the Church and the Bible Institute are still being used by terrorists. The local Christians are few in number, lack a local preacher and suffer tremendously. The members of the Central Church of Christ who remain in the city can be counted by fingers on both hands—there are only eight of them left.”
