Report #21–October 16, 2017

Dear Folks,

I have returned to the USA! The return trip went well and now I am crawling and clawing through jet lag. The trip went very well and I hope the frequent reports helped you to appreciate the amazing opportunities that God is presenting to His Church and People.

The Ivano-Frankivsk congregation has been renting an assembly place until the new assembly place would be suitable to use on a regular basis. During warm weather there is no problem in assembling at the new construction but with winter coming such will not be possible. The current rental property has been sold and the Church has 2 weeks to vacate. Be sure and pray for this situation.

Today (Monday) we will load a container of clothing for Vinnytsia. This was coordinated by brother Jerry Max Morgan (Piggott, AR) and the brethren in Neelyville, MO. Jerry left for Ukraine yesterday and brother Jim Akridge will arrive in Ukraine around November 1.

The four containers of shoes are on their way and the first has already arrived. We have received funds for most of the cost and are hopeful that the remaining costs will be covered by congregations approached but no responding yet. These four containers will ship approximately 20,000 pairs of new Dr. Comfort shoes that will be distributed in the Lord’s Name and the estimated retail value is $800,000.00 per container! And these 4 containers were donated and loaded to us without charge! An amazing opportunity.

Reporting and meetings on the future efforts of Ukraine Missions begin as I leave Searcy on Tuesday going to Montgomery, AL, then to Columbia, TN, then to Waynesboro, TN to conduct a gospel meeting beginning October 22, then to Portland, TN, then to Huntsville, AL…and to other locations not yet confirmed. We are scheduled to load 2 more containers in early December so I will be back in Searcy for those events.

But first is getting through jet lag!

Thank you for your financial support, prayers and emails of encouragement! You were significant to the success of this completed mission effort!

John L. Kachelman, Jr.
