God’s Grace to Guinea, West Africa!

In the photo above is an unforgettable photo of a little orphan girl sitting outside a dilapidated dwelling where she sleeps.

June 3 an urgent request was received by Charita through the World of Connections website (worldofconnections.org). “Please help send assistance as it is desperately needed.” The request came from Conakry, Guinea. Photos and narratives described an incredible humanitarian catastrophe taking place in this nation on Africa’s west cost. Through further investigation and discussion we decided that we had to try to respond to this urgent plea.

The plea described the emergency as: “A huge increase in the population of orphans, refugees, and poor masses that are forgotten. There are not enough food or dwellings, shoes or clothing or other essential necessities for basic living.”

The communication described Guinea as one of the poorest countries in the world with a population undergoing a lot of political turmoil. Most of the population lives in extreme poverty.

There continues to be doors of opportunity opening. “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (Luke 10:2).
