This container was loaded in May 2018. Chronicling its narrative is this blog posted by Charita (if you go to the blog link you will see some photos):

IMPROVING LIVES, ONE CONTAINER AT A TIME
May 28, 2018|PROJECTS – By Charita Shteynberg (Project 341CMD2NG)
One more container left the USA shore destined to bring medical supplies to the people of Nigeria. It contains surgical and orthopedic supplies, obstetrics and gynecological supplies, sterile syringes and needles and much, much more.

The container is on its way to Zikora Medical Centre, Ltd. (also known as Zikora Foundation), located at 3 Ezimba Street, Ogborhill Aba, Nigeria. Dr. Azikiwe Ikeorha, the founder of the Zikora foundation, is running a program at the Medical Centre that works with multiple clinics in rural areas of the country, providing desperately needed medical assistance to people who have no other means of getting it.

All of the supplies were kindly donated to WOC by David Squires, the founder of Charitable Medical Distributors organization. David and I have been working together on this project for a while, yet it would not have happened without the generous assistance of John Kachelman, Jr. of Churches of Christ/Life Resources International, Inc. and Dr. Michael Enyinnah, a representative of Abia State Government. Their organizations sponsored and covered all expenses that arose during preparation and shipping of this project.

We thank everyone who helped us make this project happen. Your kindness and thoughtfulness make a tremendous difference in lives of people who you helped. The container loaded on May 11th, 2018 in Topeka, Kansas, USA and is currently on its way to Onne Port, Nigeria.
Bon voyage!

Note from Dr. Azikiwe Ikeorha: Nigeria is going through a very bad economic crisis coupled with the terrorism of Boko Haram and the Herdsman massacre. This situation left many people displaced from their homes without means of livelihood. It has resulted in poor access to medicine, food, education, and shelter. Assisting refugee camps, also known as IDP camps, by providing affordable medical services, as well as improving the existing medical facilities in rural areas will go a long way to ease suffering of the poor masses. Thank you for your humanity and support!
