The situation regarding the corruption stalling and blocking the shipment of benevolent commodities into Ukraine continues.
The issue is NOT are such commodities needed. The issue IS gaining approvals in a prompt manner so that storage fees and fines are avoided. We were told that if we paid a bribe of $5,000 then we would not have any problems BUT if we did not pay then we would “pay more” in fees and fines. This is pure, unadulterated EXTORTION on the highest levels of Ukrainian government officials.
I have asked you to contact your elected officials in Washington, DC and ask them to address this corruption with the Poroshenko/Groysman Administration of Ukraine. The tap root of this lies in the administration of Prime Minister Groysman as he is in charge of the Ministry of Social Policy and humanitarian aid.
Several have emailed that they have sent communication to their Senators and Congressional Representative. Look back at the blog post on 26 November for the plea for your action on this.
All appeals to Groysman have been ignored. Here is a letter sent to the Prime Minister one-year ago detailing a criminal action that stalled one of our shipments and we were forced to pay a fine that was illegal. This letter shows the actions against our shipment were illegal BUT the Prime Minister did nothing.

EFFORTS CONTINUE…Some have asked if our efforts to ship benevolent goods through the Church has stopped since we have halted shipments into Ukraine. We are continuing shipments BUT not into Ukraine until this corruption is remedied.
Thus far in 2018 we have shipped benevolent items into: Ghana (2 containers); Guinea (2 containers with #3 ready to go out of Judsonia); Moldova (1 container); Nigeria (1 container); the Republic of Georgia (5 containers and #6 ready to go); Tanzania (2 containers with #2 loaded yesterday in Arlington, TX and #3 in process); Uganda (1 container); Ukraine (12 containers—2017 we shipped 26 containers into Ukraine and 2016 we shipped 28 so this shows the impact that the corruption in the Ministry of Social Policy (Task Group) has had!
If you have not already contacted your Washington, DC delegation please do so quickly. The goodwill and generosity of the American people is being met with a smug smirk by those demanding bribes. Reread the 26 November post for the full discussion on this evil.
