Report #2–October 2, 2019

I am currently in Kyiv and making several visits and follow-up contacts. I am slowly acclimating to the eight-hour time difference. Here are a few snippets that I want to share with you!

From the above photo: “Dad, just wanted to let you know that Hudson & Kinnley put together a letter and his money to send to an orphanage in Ukraine! He wrote on the back of this Proverbs 22:6!” (“train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”)

I still continue to hear the fantastic response from Monday’s loading of the hospital beds, mattresses and other commodities from Booneville, MS. There were 40 volunteers present. We had brethren present from these area congregations: Booneville Church of Christ, Berea Church of Christ, Iuka Church of Christ, and Liberty Church of Christ. In addition to these DAVID PAHER was present. David is a missionary to Guyana. He is back on a reporting furlough and was in the Montgomery area and helped us load the container for Nigeria and learned about the Booneville load. He volunteered to assist with that as well. The collection point for commodities going to the Lord’s work in Guyana are collected by the Booneville congregation!

In addition to those listed above Kathy Cadden recruited a good number of helpers from “Broken Lives Ministry.”

In March we loaded a container out of Judsonia, AR that will furnish a medical clinic operated by Christians in Omega County, Liberia.  Charita forwarded this follow-up message from brother William Cassell: “It is also good to hear from you. The clinic is setup now, but there are other things need to be put in place before opening to the public. More to that it has been raining heavily in Liberia that makes me unable to do the dedication ceremony, but it will be done soon by the grace of God. Thanks for everything. God bless, William”
