Fall Mission Trip Report 20

Carol, David, Lily, & Rob welcome Perry

Our mission team returned on schedule Monday morning in Montgomery, AL. Beto had already returned to Nashville. John Durham is to return in the next few days.

The trip was an amazing success in every way. Much work was accomplished, but I left feeling that I wanted to see so many more objectives seized. But these will come!

Upon returning I sent word to Ivan and he replied with this note:

Thank God you are back safely! We are happy that the Lord have kept you safe in your travels. Thank you for the fellowship and the accomplished work that is very important. It was wonderful to be together again. You returned on time because Russia has kicked into action and intensified shelling and bombing. I think you know everything and there’s no need talking about it now. We continue serving God and support people. Continue praying for us. Things are going well at Church and various brothers take part in our Church ministry. I hope that each one of us can be efficient in God’s Kingdom. We do all we can! Love you, brother, and thank you for everything.

Ivan Skoleba

In addition to Ivan’s note, I received communications and briefings from a number of others expressing joy at the successes we accomplished in the few days we were present.

Upon returning I have a crammed schedule…Tuesday 18 October I’ll have a total left knee replacement…Tuesday 25 October we will load a container out of Montgomery that will go to the Church in Ivano-Frankivsk and will help furnish one of the rehabilitation centers that an earlier report described. Ivan Skoleba and Vladimir Paziy are working on this project. The furnishings are possible ONLY because of CURE (WestArk Church of Christ in Ft. Smith, AR).

Upon returning Charita was told that because we helped a group with logistics, they were sharing 10 pallets of antibiotic “Z-Packs”! These are already in Lviv and waiting for our directives. We have contacted the medical professionals with whom we work and have these scheduled for delivery.

Another amazing development resulting from our nation-wide partnering with Kyiv’s Ministry, is the unexpected invitation to distribute a huge donation via our EU (European Union) contacts. This is reserved for those who have joined us in sponsoring and providing previous loads. Their prior involvement with us has identified them as trustworthy sources. Charita sent this note:

FYI, the Ministry of Reintegration received a large donation of beds, blankets, pillows, and children’s winter clothing sets, age separated. We are helping to deliver all of it from the EU. For Ivano-Frankivsk, I will need a request from our contacts in the Ivano-Frankivsk military administration with the amount of how many refugees in the area to get this delivery.😊 ALL IS FREE!!!

Charita

So, our actions are not suspended but are surging! (Ephesians 3:20-21)

We continue seeking individuals, congregations and civic organizations to collect Family Buckets to be shipped to those in need.

THANK YOU to all who joined us in spirit on this mission trip. Your prayers, encouragement and financial support were all critical elements to the success. Amazing good was accomplished. Awesome advances were recorded.
