Saturday, July 23, 2023 was a day filled with joy and satisfaction! Faulkner University concluded its LEGACY CAMP (https://www.faulknerlegacy.com/) week by leaving a legacy of practical Christianity with a series of service projects. A group of 50-60 came to the Dalraida warehouse to pack FAMILY BUCKETS.
The group sorted, packed, labeled, and closed 100+ buckets that are now ready to be loaded into our next shipping container!
THANK YOU!
This could not have happened without the participation of three of Dalraida’s members, who also work at Faulkner University: Andrew “Gif” Gifford coordinated the event and made sure all was ready to go; Caleb Colquitt eagerly volunteered and assisted in many ways that contributed to the success; and Matt Olguin, Director of Admissions, who helped lead the Legacy Camp initiated this project and worked with Gif and Caleb to make sure all parts came together to make a perfect project’s ending!
WSAF TV covered the activity and once again assisted us in getting a vital message into our community! Check out the news report by clicking on the video below.
MORE BUCKETS URGENTLY NEEDED!
We continue to receive frantic communication asking for more Family Buckets. The recent uptick in Russian bombings and the increased movement of population displacement because of Russian aggression have added to the cries for help. I am hearing of other locations beginning the Bucket projects and that news is great!
Can your congregation coordinate a bucket collection in your area? If you can help coordinate a bucket collection and packing activity, please do so. You can let us know if you have any questions! The suggested list is below (take items out of the packaging and all will fit!).
