Report #2 | 2024 Spring Trip

Featured Photo: We enjoyed the afternoon’s visit with Mayor Anatoly Romanovych discussing the hows and whens of future actions. Anatoly is a trusted friend and partner in our work. It is because of his help that we have been able to find success in many areas.

I think I am slowly emerging from the haze of jet-lag and am anxious for the final fog to be gone!

We enjoyed a beautiful day but the wind was blustery at times but thankful no thermals were needed! Among the good news of today’s event was a call from Igor in Kharkiv (this congregation is supported by the West Huntsville Church of Christ), saying a truckload of Life Boxes had arrived and they had a place to store them and looked forward to distributing them very soon to residents in their immediate vicinity. He will be sending photos and as soon as I get them, you will see them. We received reports on Life Box deliveries from the Sumy Region and other locations.

Today we had a number of “housekeeping” chores to get done before leaving for Lysets and visiting with Mayor Anatoly Romanovych. Anatoly has been trusted friend and partner for many years. It is always good to visit with him. We discussed a number of issues and planned for anticipated actions in the rehabilitation projects. We are optimistic on the developing actions and believe these open effectual doors of opportunity!

After the afternoon with Anatoly we returned for mid-week Bible study. Gif is in the midst of a series on “how to read your Bible.” As usual he presented a good class but I must admit that jet-lag had my head bobbing and eyes shut at times!

I was able to look over the good work that Pasha has completed on the construction efforts. The fellowship area is finished but they are waiting on cabinets and then can complete installation of appliances. He has also finished work on the stairwell leading to the second floor. At this time work has stopped because we have run out of funds to purchase the construction materials. I wish all could eyeball this work—you would be amazed at the quality!

Continue praying for our efforts. Opportunities continue to present themselves in amazing ways!
