Update June 20, 2024 Amazing Open Doors!

Featured Photo: The loading crew from Dalraida Church of Christ! Miles and Jada were the hardest workers! Look at the photo slideshow below and you will see them always in action. They were ever eager to take items into the container and even climb to the top and stuff boxes where no one else could reach! THANK YOU BO & BETHANY FOR TRAINING TWO GREAT WORKERS FOR THE LORD!

Container Loaded with critical items

Monday 19 June, we loaded a container that is destined for Truskavets, Ukraine. This is a town in far western Ukraine and has a number of mineral wells that people travel to for treatments. I was taken to this location two years ago. There is a State rehabilitation hospital but it was poorly furnished. They pleaded with us to send some rehab supplies and equipment. C.U.R.E. from the WestArk Church of Christ in Ft. Smith, AR has been a steady partner in helping us locate various commodities to ship. With their assistance we were able to put together a container full of equipment.

A special THANK YOU to the Farmington Church of Christ (Farmington, KY) who sent funds to pay for the majority of shipping costs! Here are the totals at the end of the load sent by the Lord’s Church:

Total Items Loaded: 609

Total Weight: 14,830 pounds

Total Value: $307,026.00

The container is now on the rails and scheduled to be on the water in the next few days it is scheduled to arrive in Poland around 26 July! We will post the unloading and distribution when possible.

Hillsboro’s Bucket Drive

The Hillsboro Church of Christ (Nashville, TN) has been involved in a Family Bucket drive during June. Their goal was 500 buckets and they have 300 now. We are joined in this drive by Healing Hands (HHI). They are storing the buckets and will load a container at the end of July. Our good brother Beto Santiago is working with us on this project and is contacting other congregations in the Nashville area to enlist their assistance. Gif and I will see these buckets and other commodities are distributed to congregations who are actively involved in distribution of aid on the frontlines of the war. I wish I could list the names of all involved in this project but as soon as I clicked the list complete, I would remember someone that I omitted. The comforting fact is the Lord knows and He will remember!

Gif’s News

Gif continues to do exceptional work in Ivano-Frankivsk. Because of his efforts in following up on shipments, the Lord continues to open amazing doors. Gif sent a quick note about the encouraging developments in Ivano-Frankivsk efforts in teaching in the State rehabilitation clinics…

“Yesterday, we met with Svetlana because she wanted to get some ideas for how to get her staff more interested in reading the Bible. We came to an agreement that on Tuesday mornings at 8:15 she will gather all the staff for coffee and cookies, and I’ll come and read a short passage and then take prayer requests and have a prayer to start their work week. It will just be a 15–20-minute deal, but she’d like to do it every week.”

Please continue to pray for our efforts! We continue to need funds for shipping. I have a container that is designated for a children’s home and a children’s rehab clinic. Can you join with others to sponsor it?
