I returned to the USA on schedule and have been clawing my way through jet-lag. I think I am though it now! Upon returning the schedule has been fast and furious. Various appointments, follow-up after-action reporting, analysis, communications, etc. have been constant. Two containers were to have loaded this past week. One going to Ghana did load ot of Judsonia, AR as that group continues to excel in operations. Another was to have loaded out of Montgomery, AL going to Panama but it was pushed until 12 November. They were all set to load and then learned on the day of loading that it was a no-go.
This recent mission into Ukraine was successful in many different ways. We continue to have amazing doors of opportunity opening to us and various Regions are directly approaching us. Our efforts are making a definite impact upon the nation.
Below is a photo of the plaque posted in the Precarpathian Clinical Oncology Center in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. Over 1,000 treatment patients per month will pass and read this plaque; the number of family members and relatives of the patients significantly multiplies the exposure and impact of this message; the techs, physicians, and workers will read it daily. And, it is permanently posted! We have set the foundation for Gif to offer Bible classes and outreach from this location. I received the following note expressing the hospital’s sentiment toward the Lord’s Church:
“Dear John Kachelman. I want to share with you that we created the ‘thank you board.’ It will be the first one on the wall in our radiotherapy department when we finish repair works! Thank you to Church of Christ for your kindness and helping our patients in their hard treatment way!”
The wording on the plaque reads:
Gratitude
This plaque is a sign of thankfulness to the benevolence from Church of Christ
You care is invaluable to our patients!
THANK YOU for your support and donations that made this mission trip possible. THANK YOU for your continued donations that help us ship tons and tons of benevolence commodities to those in desperate need! Currently we have enough commodities to ship THREE containers out of the Montgomery, AL warehouse!
A REQUEST: A small congregation has asked if anyone could send 10 copies of the SACRED SELECTIONS songbook? I think this edition is the red/maroon cover.
